The house, part of the historic centre of Fão, has undergone significant interventions over time which have obscured its original language and it's state of degradation made necessary a complete reconstruction.
Enclosed within a narrow street, the interior layout of the house was reversed, contrasting with a more traditional distribution. Placing the social areas on the top floor allows for the necessary light to enter the interior of the house and to take advantage of the view over the Cávado river, without compromising privacy.
